När vi var i Kenya födde de båda
första getterna var sin killing med 1 dags mellanrum. Det blev 1
killing av varje kön. Familjen deltog i båda födslarna och för
barnen var det en stor upplevelse att få se nyfödda djur. De hade
mycket att berätta om i skolan, för både kompisarna och lärarna.
Vi hade fått önskemål från olika
personer som givit pengar för att de vill hjälpa till att ge
getter till fattiga familjer. Det blev 2 familjer som är grannar och
goda vänner som fick 3 getter tillsammans och 2 andra familjer fick
2 getter vardera.
I en familj där kvinnans man dog i en
magsjukdom hjälpte en granne till att bygga gethus och i de andra
familjerna byggde pappan gethuset.

NEWBORN GOATLINGS
When we were in Kenya the the first two goats gave birth to one goatling each with one day between. There was one goatling of each gender. The whole family participated in both births and for the kids it was a great experience to see the newborn animals. They had much to tell about at school, for both friends and teachers.
We had received requests from various people who have given money to our projects as they wanted to help in providing goats to poor families. There were two families who were neighbors and good friends who got three goats together and two other families received two goats each.
In a family where the woman's husband died of a stomach illness a neighbor helped to build a goat house and in the other families the fathers built gouthouses.
