Eftersom vi hade gjort en hel del semesterresor både i Europa och i Västindien och Thailand tidigare satt vi och bläddrade i resebrochyrer och funderade på vad vi skulle göra på semestern 1999. Vi beslutade oss för att åka på safari till Afrika eftersom vi inte visste någonting om den kontinenten. Vi är dessutom båda intresserade av djur.

Slumpen gjorde att vi bestämde oss för en paketresa med en veckas safari i Tanzania och en veckas rekreation på ett hotell på Bamburi Beach i Kenya. Till skillnad från många andra medresänärer låg vi inte kvar på en solstol vid en pool på hotellet om dagarna utan vi rörde oss utanför hotellet och träffade många människor som fortfarande är våra goda vänner. Vistelsen där den veckan gjorde att vi återvänt till Bamburi Beach ytterligare sexton gånger.


Since we have spent a lot of holidays in Europe, in the Caribbean and Thailand before, we sat down and went through the advertisments and thought about what we would do during our holiday 1999. We decided to go on a safari to Africa because we did not know anything about that continent. We are also both interested in animals.

By pure chance we decided for a package tour with one week safari in Tanzania and one week recreation at a hotel on Bamburi Beach in Kenya. Unlike many other tourists we were not lying on a lounger by the pool at the hotel during our stay, but we were moving around the hotel and met many people who has become our friends. Our stay there that week was the reason we returned to Bamburi Beach sixteen more times.
